What this code does

Structured data is a small block of code, invisible to visitors, that states facts about your business in a vocabulary search engines share (schema.org). With it, Google doesn't have to guess your hours or what kind of business you are, and AI tools get the same clean facts.

Where to paste it

WordPress: your SEO plugin's schema settings or a header-code plugin. Squarespace: Code Injection in the header. Wix: Custom Code in settings. Webflow: the site's head code. Anywhere else: just before the closing </head> tag of your home or contact page.

Keep it truthful and current

Everything in the code must match what's visible on your site and your Google Business Profile. When your hours change, update the code too, or let CiteMagnet keep it in step with your business details.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Type to search these questions, or ask anything about getting found on Google and AI.

LocalBusiness or Organization: which should I choose?

LocalBusiness if customers visit you or you serve a local area. Organization if you only sell or work online. Pick the most specific kind of business the list offers.

Will adding schema get me rich results?

It makes you eligible; Google decides when to show them. Accurate structured data is worth having either way.

Should I add star ratings?

Not from reviews you collect yourself. Google doesn't show stars for a business's own reviews of itself. Let your Google Business Profile carry your ratings.

Is what I type sent anywhere?

No. The code is generated in your browser; nothing you enter is sent to us.
